Police appeal for witnesses after attempted West Bridgford street robbery

An appeal has been launched by police after man approached a woman in West Bridgford Park and attempted to steal her handbag.

Officers from Nottinghamshire Police want to find witnesses to the attempted street robbery on Wednesday, April 22 around noon.

The victim was walking through the park when the man –  described as Asian and between 40 and 50 years of age – attempted to steal her handbag.

The offender is believed to be between 5ft 7ins and 5ft 8ins tall and is described as being clean shaven with short straight dark hair and a curved fringe.

He was last seen wearing a blue rain coat with a hood and black trousers with black shoes.
