Police appeal for witnesses following Gedling armed robbery

Nottinghamshire police are appealing for witnesses after a man entered a shop in Gedling in possession of what is believed to be a handgun.

The man is believed to have demanded cash from the shop before he fled the scene with an unknown quantity of money.

Police say the handgun was not discharged at the scene of the incident on Monday night.

Nobody was hurt during the robbery at Ladbrokes on Main Road, Gedling, at around 8.30pm on January 19.

The man has been described as white, wearing a hooded jacket and having his face covered.

Police are urging anyone who was in the area at the time or may have seen something suspicious, especially anyone running from the scene, at around 8.30pm to speak to them.
