Cordon on Arboretum entrance taken down following reports of ‘woman punched in face’

Police have taken down the cordon at the Arboretum entrance on Waverley Street following investigations into reports of an assault.

The cordon was taken down at around 11am this morning (Monday August 21).

Police received the report of the assault on Sunday (August 20) night.

Officers believe a ‘woman had been punched in the face’ with a forensics team seen investigating the area.

However police have said she suffered minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.

A spokesperson for Notts Police said: “We were called to Addison Street yesterday (Sunday August 21) where it’s believed a woman had been punched in the face at around 4.30pm.

“Officers are appealing to anyone with information to contact us on 101 quoting incident 702 of August 20.”
