Police are investigating reports a shot was fired in a residential street in Carlton on Friday afternoon.
Several police cars and armed officers were seen on Forester Grove, and a police cordon stretched across the street close to the junction with Ivy Grove and Cross Street.
A Nottinghamshire Police spokeswoman said: “We were called at 1.10pm to what appears to be a firearm discharged in Forester Grove in Carlton.
“No injuries have been reported and enquiries are ongoing. It is standard procedure to have a cordon in place to establish the circumstances.”
