Police investigating attempted sexual assault on city towpath

Police are investigating a report of an attempted sexual assault on a Nottingham city centre canal towpath.

Notts Police put up a cordon on a small stretch of the path at around 3.10am on Thursday (April 27).

The cordon is between the HMRC office on Castle Meadow Road and Sainsbury’s .

Officers say they are investigating a report that a man attempted to sexually assault a woman. Enquiries are ongoing.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them on 101, quoting incident number 59 of April 27.
