Police have launched an investigation and arrested a woman on suspicion of supplying a banned drug after a teenage boy died in hospital.

Police were called to an address on Sloan Drive just before 1am on Monday (February 27) after what officers only described as ‘an incident’.

A 13-year-old boy was taken from the address to hospital, where he died last night (February 28).

Formal identification has not yet taken place.

A Notts Police spokesman said: “Officers are working with partners to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.

“A 36-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of supplying a controlled drug and was further arrested in custody on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. She has been bailed pending further enquiries.”

A 14-year-old boy, who was also found at the Bramcote address on Monday, is also in hospital. His condition is stable.
