Police have named a man who died after an assault in Hyson Green as Thomas Burns.
The 40-year-old died at the Queen’s Medical Centre on Monday (July 10) after he suffered a serious head injury in an attack at around 6am on Sunday.
Police say the incident happened on Pleasant Row, near Asda Hyson Green after reports Mr Burns had been involved in a dispute with another man.
A 39-year-old man and a 24-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the death. The 39-year-old remains in police custody. Officers said the 24-year-old has since been released.
