Police have released an image of 89-year-old woman who was injured after trying to stop an attacker who entered her home and demanded money.
She was attacked in her home in The Platts, Newark in the early hours of Thursday (June 8) morning at around 4.30am.
The attacker was confronted by the victim and demanded money but refused before grabbing the woman’s handbag and running away.
The woman was injured as she tried to stop him.
The attacker was described as a male who was 6ft tall and was wearing dark khaki clothing and a hat.
