Police have revealed the name of the woman who died in connection with a murder investigation in Newark.
59-year-old woman Karen Jacquet has been formally identified by officers.
She was pronounced dead at the scene after police were called to an address in Mill Gate at around 5.10pm on Wednesday (August 16).
Yousef Mohammed, 65, of Mill Gate, Newark, was charged with murder in connection to the incident.
He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Friday (August 18) and was remanded in custody.
Mohammed is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday (August 21).
