Radford hit-and-run: Two men arrested

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection to the death of a 48-year-old woman, following a hit-and-run incident in Radford.

The victim, a 48-year-old woman, was struck by a car at around 1:40am on Gamble Street on Sunday June 21 and subsequently died from her injuries.

A 52-year-old man also suffered head injuries and is being treated at Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham. Police have said his injuries are not life threatening.

Two men aged 19 and 21 have been arrested on suspicion of the murder of the woman and the attempted murder of the man currently in hospital.

Family and friends have been attending the scene on Gamble Street to mourn the deceased.

Those at the scene are still in shock from the news and described the 48-year-old as “bubbly” and “the life of the party.”

Police say they are still keeping an open mind in their investigation.

Nottinghamshire Police are asking anyone with information to call 101, quoting incident number 132 on 21 June.
