Avid readers are joining together in a celebration of the works of one of the UK’s most controversial authors, DH Lawrence.
The DH Lawrence festival, which has been combined with the Eastwood Arts Festival, will be taking place in the author’s home town of Eastwood.
The festival will entail a whole host of events including walks, talks, tours, film screenings, concerts, reading groups and more to suit all ages.
The festival was organised by a committee of local community groups, the D.H Lawrence Heritage Centre and Broxtowe Events.
Abigail Mayfield, events officer at Broxtowe Events, said: “The reason behind this festival is to celebrate a variety of talents within the local and surronuding areas and we are very pleased with the success that we have had so far from the festival.
The DH Lawrence festival will be running until Saturday 19th September.
