Rufford Country Park on the lookout for Santa

The Summer season may have only just left us, but Nottinghamshire County Council is already on the hunt for a Santa.

The County councils country park team are on the lookout for a Father Christmas that can join their team at Rufford Country Park and help to entertain children at the Rufford Country Park Grotto in the festive period.

The Rufford Country Park Grotto forms part of the festive programme at Rufford and Sherwood Forest country parks later this year.

Lynn Negus, retail manager at Rufford Abbey Country Park, said: “There is clearly only one Father Christmas but as we all know he cannot be in every place at once so we have a vacancy for a jolly, jovial person to help out for a few hours.”

“In previous years there has been no shortage of interest from people who want to lend a hand and this year we are asking if the local media can put the word out to help us. It is all about us helping to make Christmas as magical as we can for children from Nottinghamshire and beyond.”

Interviews for this position will be taking place during September and the ideal candidate will need to be available for around six weeks during the run-up to Christmas.
