Police are appealing for information about Polish man, who is only known as Kovo or Kouvier, as part of an investigation into the unexplained death of a Nottinghamshire woman.

Detectives have revealed a 33-year-old was found dead at a property on King Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield, at around 8pm on 10 August 2017.

Notts Police have not released her name but say their inquiries have led them to search for a man who they’ve only been able to identify by a first name.

A force spokesman said: “Kovo was known to frequent the Sutton town centre area but has not been seen for a while.

“Investigators believe Kovo may have important information which could assist in the investigation of the death.”

He is described as white, around 5ft 7in tall and of stocky build with short mousey brown hair. When Kovo was last seen he was clean shaven and wearing light blue jeans, a green T-shirt and black and white Nike trainers.

Police said the cause of the woman’s death is currently unexplained, but released no other information.

Anyone who can help is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers quoting incident 797 of August 10.
