Splendour 2025: Jake Bugg, Travis, Kaiser Chiefs and Sophie Ellis-Bextor among artists confirmed for Wollaton Hall event

Splendour will return to Wollaton Park in July 2025.
Nottingham-born artist Jake Bugg will return to the city’s Splendour Festival in 2025 as part of a star-studded line-up.
Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs and Travis make up the other headliners for the festival, which will be held on the iconic Wollaton Hall grounds across the weekend of July 19 and 20.
It’s the first time the festival’s been held since 2023, with the event taking a hiatus last year following issues with Nottingham City Council’s retendering process for the festival.
Organisers have promised the event will be bigger and better than ever, spanning six stages across the scenic deer park.
A new stage will welcome local actor Vicky McClure’s Day Fever for the very first time, with the daytime disco curated by the Line of Duty star and Jon McClure, of Reverend and the Makers closing both nights.
The Sheffield-based singer and the Nottingham actor are not related but have worked together on several Day Fever projects – including in Nottingham.
The Line of Duty star’s Our Dementia Choir will also perform on the Saturday, alongside a host of nationally- and internationally-recognised artists.
That includes Clean Bandit, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Natasha Bedingfield, Echo & The Bunnymen, Seasick Steve, The Levellers, The Fratellis and many more.
George Akins, of the organising DHP Family, said: “Splendour has become a standout weekend for families and seasoned gig-goers alike and an important event for the cultural and economic value it brings to the region.
“We’re very pleased to finally be back with another brilliant line-up, now spread across two days and six distinct stages, offering great value to everyone coming to enjoy the weekend with us.”
The return of Splendour is expected to boost the city’s visitor economy and bring tens of thousands of people to Nottingham over the weekend.
Organisers say this year will also include working with an accommodation partner to provide budget-friendly rooms and more luxurious facilities.
Dedicated festival coaches will also be running from major cities and towns across the Midlands to make the event more regionally accessible. This includes Chesterfield, Leicester, Lincoln, Loughborough, Mansfield, Newark and Sheffield.
Councillor Sam Lux (Lab) is Nottingham City Council’s executive member for leisure and culture.
She said: “The festival not only showcases Nottingham’s vibrant music scene but brings significant economic benefits by supporting local businesses.
“Splendour also fosters a real sense of community spirit, uniting people from all walks of life to celebrate music, art, and the unique character of Nottingham.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity for the city to once again host this nationally recognised event and one of the East Midlands’ biggest music festivals.”
Since it was created, the event has allowed more than 150 artists from the East Midlands to play in front of thousands of people, and through its partnership with Confetti and Nottingham Trent University, it’s allowed students to gain real-world experience in the music industry.
Michael Marsden, executive dean at the NTU School of Art & Design, added: “As a university that’s recognised for providing its students with real-world work experience, it’s great to see Splendour return to Nottingham; allowing our students to put what they’re taught into practice.”
Day tickets have been released starting from £69 + booking fee for general admission. Payment plans to spread the cost and City Resident discounts are available on all Weekend and Day tickets.
