Staff at a recently-opened Nottinghamshire pub on Trent Bridge were robbed at knife-point, police say.

Officers are investigating a robbery after staff at The Brewhouse and Kitchen pub – the former home of the Riverbank – were threatened.

It is thought three masked offenders forced their way into the building around midnight on Sunday (July 23) as staff were locking up – and the offenders demanded cash.

Police say they believe the offenders fled along the Victoria Embankment towards The Meadows.

The pub opened in June after the Riverbank closed in January. Officers say no-one was injured, but the offenders fled with money.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Notts Police quoting incident number four of July 24.
