Sutton-in-Ashfield shopping centre evacuated due to bomb scare

The Idlewells Shopping Centre in Sutton-in-Ashfield has been evacuated after an unidentified package was found in a toilet block at around 1.20pm.
The army has been called in to examine the item and to potentially make it safe.
Nottinghamshire Police have evacuated shoppers and staff to a safe distance and placed a cordon around the centre.

Idlewells released a statement on its Facebook page: “Many apologies to anyone affected by the current evacuation here at Idlewells Shopping Centre – it is a precautionary measure and we will update you all as soon as we can. Thanks for your patience.”
