Sutton murder victim named as Kerry Gascoinge as man charged

A man has been charged with the murder of a 43-year-old woman found dead at a house in Sutton-in-Ashfield.

Stephen Fretwell, 44, has been remanded in custody to appear at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court.

Detectives have also named the victim as Kerry Gascoigne, also 43.

Her body was found at the address the pair shared on Ridge Close, on the town’s Carsic estate, on Monday morning.

Police are yet to reveal how Ms Gascoigne died.
