Nottingham’s Halloween monsters have returned to the city to entertain and spook families over the half-term break.
Today (Monday, October 28) families attended a monster hunting safari event that toured some of their city centre locations.
They are part of a half-term array of events in the city in the lead-up to Halloween on Thursday (October 31).
Events such as the Spooky Safari and the Monster Mash at Nottingham Castle will take place from last Saturday (October 26) through to Sunday (November 3).
The locations of the rooftop monsters include on top of the Victoria Centre, at the Motorpoint Arena, near Nottingham Castle, atop the NG1 nightclub, and Binks Yard.

Rosie Coverini and her children Frederico Coverini and Giorgio Coverini from Nuthall attended the bus safari event dressed as skeletons.
Rosie said: “We’ve done the monster hunting every year and we go and dress up as a family.
“Last year we were Scooby Doo and we went monster hunting. They’ve been the Ghost Busters so we’re quite invested in the monsters.”

Charlotte Bramley went monster hunting with her daughter Darcie.
Charlotte said: “It was great, we’ve had a brilliant time.”
Charlotte’s daughter Darcie was asked what her favourite monster was.
“I didn’t have one, they were all great,” she said.
The events are put on by the city’s business improvement district, It’s In Nottingham and are running throughout the half-term week.

Amy Coulson, the BID’s project, events and sponsorship manager, said: “It’s all about getting people engaged with their city, showing them a good time.
“It’s really great seeing the kids getting really involved spotting the monsters and just connecting with their city.”
The BID is also encouraging people to pick up a map from the city’s tourism centre and join in with the monster hunt.
