England cricketer Stuart Broad became the latest celebrity from Nottinghamshire to have a new tram named after him today.
The unveiling of the new tram took place this morning at the Wilkinson Street tram depot.
Tram 237 has now been named after Stuart Broad. He has also been awarded a plaque with a picture of a tram and his name on.
Its been an exciting year for Broad, who also helped to secure The Ashes win at Trent Bridge earlier this year.
He said: “I’m hugely honoured, this has capped off an amazing summer for me personally, regaining the Ashes at Trent Bridge was obviously a dream come true and having an important part to play in it that was very special.”
“Its great being here today, it looks a bit surreal but its a fantastic honour.”
