Two arrested after cyclist dies in road crash

Two men have been arrested after a cyclist was killed in a crash on a Nottinghamshire village lane.

The incident, which happened on Monday, October 26, involved a Vauxhall Corsa colliding with the male rider on Grange Lane, Staunton in the Vale, near Newark.

The victim, who has not yet been named, was pronounced dead at the scene at around 4.30pm.

Two men, both 27, have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and have been bailed pending further inquiries.

Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 630 of 26 October 2015.
