Two teenagers have been arrested after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed in Bulwell.

Nottinghamshire Police were called to Hucknall Lane, outside the KFC restaurant at Springfield Retail Park, at around 2.55pm yesterday (Sunday, October 6).

The 17-year-old boy was taken to Queens Medical Centre for treatment. He has since been discharged.

A police cordon was put in place while officers investigated, following which an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of affray.

Both remained in custody on Monday as inquiries continue “to establish the full circumstances of this incident,” according to the force.

Detective Inspector Chris Berryman said: “The consequences of carrying a knife can be devastating, with both the carrier and others around them all put in danger by this simple act.

“It’s exactly for this reason why Nottinghamshire Police takes each and every report we receive relating to knife crime so seriously.”

The force has also appealed to anyone with any relevant information or CCTV, dashcam, or mobile phone footage to come forward.
