Toddler death: Two-year-old collision victim named

A two-year-old who died in a collision with a car in Bolero Square near Capital FM Arena has been named.

Evelyn Maria Celgy died after she was in a collision with a car near the Capital FM Arena.

Her family issued a tribute that said: “Sadly our dearest daughter passed away at Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, on Saturday at 7pm.

“Evelyn was involved in a tragic Road Traffic Collision earlier that same day.”

“We would like to pass our sincere thanks to Nottinghamshire Police, the paramedics, A & E staff and staff on the P.I.C.U ward at the hospital for all their compassion, sympathy, support and care provided.

Special thanks to the hospital Chaplain who was a great source of comfort.

A statement from Evelyn’s family.

“Thank you to the Community, our family and friends for all their support, including, our Family Liaison Officer from Cheshire Police.

“We now request privacy whilst we come to terms with our loss.”
