Victim named in connection with murder investigation in Mansfield

The victim of an incident in Mansfield Woodhouse which has seen a woman arrested on suspicion of murder has been named.

Anthony White, 66, from Long Meadow, was known widely as ‘Bob’ and was pronounced dead at Kings Mill Hospital on Monday (June 5).

A 21-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.

Police and ambulance services were called to his home at around 9.10pm on Monday following reports of an incident.

An investigation has been launched and officers believe this is an isolated incident and are not searching for anyone else in connection with the incident.
