Watch: Dawson Wilcock’s family say money will go elsewhere as time runs out for terminally ill toddler

The parents of a terminally ill Nottinghamshire toddler are creating a retreat for families with poorly children after time ran out to send him to America for treatment.

More than £350,000 was initially raised for special treatment in America for Dawson Wilcock, two, from Sutton in Ashfield.

But now it’s going towards a caravan for others to create lasting memories as his parents say his time is running out.

Dawson is suffering with a rare form of cancer called hepatoblastoma, which led his parents to launch the £500,000 ‘A Dollar For Dawson’ fundraising appeal.

He’s since had support and donations from around the world, but his family says the money is now going towards the caravan because of the advanced progress of his disease.
