Oliver Burke has spoken about adapting to a new playing style and his controversial transfer from Nottingham Forest in his first interview at Red Bull Leipzig.
The winger has just returned from international duty after starting for Scoland in the side’s 5-1 win in Malta, playing 66 minutes before being substituted.
Burke joined Red Bull Leipzig three days before the transfer window closed which left Nottingham Forest fans divided over whether losing the talented 19-year-old was worth the £13 million fee.
It’s going to take time to adapt
Burke said: “My aims are to just keep learning each day and to improve my attributes on the training ground with the right staff.
“It’s going to take me time to adapt as I’m not going to step in straight away, I need to see what it’s all about and soak it all in like a sponge.
“Red Bull Leipzig showed great interest in not just me as a player but as a person as well and that really matters to me.”
