A Nottingham Forest fan campaign to improve atmosphere at football games took to the road at the weekend for the first time.

Members of Forza Garibaldi travelled down to Brentford who saw the Reds win a 4-3 thriller at Griffin Park.

The campaign was set up last year and co-founder Matthew Oldroyd said it was designed for days such as the trip to West London.

He said: “It’s about getting everyone together, having a great living laugh and take it all into the ground to support the team.

“That’s the aim of it all really – it is just a good laugh between Forest fans.”

Co-founder Greg Mitchell said: “Our track record says everything really – we’ve done probably ten, 15 big events now and it’s not about the trouble.

“It’s about the atmosphere, bringing everyone together and having a good time.”
