Police have released CCTV images of a man suspected of threatening six people with a hammer in one night.
The robberies happened in the space of two hours across the city centre on Friday, October 2, with victims losing wallets, phones and cash.
The first incident happened in Wheeler Gate at 12.40 am, but the robber left empty-handed.
Just 15 minutes later he threatened and robbed a man in George Street and ten minutes after that he struck again on Glasshouse Street.
Then at 2.35am he robbed another two men on Byard Lane, punching one of them, and five minutes later he targeted his last victim on East Street.
The fact he has shown a willingness to walk the street with a hammer is extremely worrying
Det Insp Kaz Smithson of Notts Police said, “The people he threatened were obviously left shaken by their ordeals and although he did not use the weapon, the fact he has shown a willingness to walk the street with a hammer is extremely worrying.”
Officers have released CCTV footage of the man they want to speak to in connection with the attacks.
He is described as Asian, between 5ft 5ins and 5ft 10ins tall and in his late teens or early 20s.

Det Insp Smithson added, “The CCTV footage we are releasing today is quite clear and we believe there is someone in the community who will recognise this man. If you do then we would urge you to get in touch as soon as possible so we can get him off the streets.”
