Forecasters have issued a yellow weather warning for fog across Nottinghamshire.
Forecasters say the fog will arrive from around 6pm on Monday night and is likely to make driving difficult.
It is expected to remain until at least 9am on Tuesday morning and will affect the whole of central England including Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire.
A Met Office spokesman said: “With little cloud and light winds fog is expected to readily develop during Monday evening, affecting the evening rush hour in some areas as well as the morning rush hour on Tuesday.
“Fog is then expected to be locally slow to lift and clear on Tuesday, lingering for much of the morning and perhaps onwards into the afternoon in some spots.”

The warning means people are advised to ‘be aware’ of the risk. A yellow warning is the third most serious issued by the Met Office after red ‘take action’ warnings and amber ‘be prepared’ warnings.
Yellow means people should “plan ahead thinking about possible travel delays, or the disruption of your day to day activities”.
Tonight is also expected to be cold, with temperatures expected to drop to freezing, although it should remain dry.
