Three men have been arrested after a police raid in West Bridgford led on to the discovery of three cannabis farms containing plants with a total street value of around £500,000.

Police attended an address in Abbey Road on Thursday where they discovered the first grow.

Officers say information obtained at this address led them on to two other farms at addresses in Hollinwell Avenue, Wollaton and Sleaford, Lincolnshire.

Specialist officers have since seized the plants from all three addresses.

Three men were arrested as part of the operation. Vidmantas Spycius, 30, of Maplestead Avenue, Wilford, has been charged with production of cannabis and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

Two other men, aged 26 and 57, have been released under investigation.
