West Bridgford residents are being urged to be vigilant and review security after burglars have been targeting the area.

From October to December, a number of roads have had more than one house burglary, including Abbey Road, Abbey Circus, Edwards Road, Loughborough Road, Nearsby Drive and Rutland Road.

Rushcliffe Area Inspector Craig Berry said: “Residents that live on these and surrounding roads should consider their home security carefully, in particular patio doors and the like at the rear of their property as this is the most common point of entry.

“Local people should also be vigilant and report any suspicious people or cars taking note of as much detail as possible and reporting your concerns immediately to the police.”

Anyone who witnesses anything suspicious, or has any information about burglaries, is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
