Wilko’s has done a U-turn on its ban on The Farnborough Academy students entering their Clifton store after reports of stealing.

The Farnborough Academy was originally told that their 1000 plus students were no longer allowed inside the store on Southchurch Drive.

The ban that was placed on June 23 has now been lifted after two days.

The ban followed 14 thefts that had been reported by the store to Nottinghamshire Police since January.

A spokesperson for the store said: “We pride ourselves on supporting the communities in which we serve and are working with the school for a long term solution with this issue.”

After deliberation with the school they agreed to lift the ban.
