Woman, 20, charged with assisting an offender in connection with death of Mapperley man

Stephen Walsh died after being attacked by a man police think was the driver of another car involved in a crash.

A 20-year-old woman has been charged with assisting an offender in connection with the death of Stephen Walsh.

Roseann Newton of Findern Green in Sneinton has been bailed to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on September 11.

Mr Walsh, 37, was found dead at his home on Blenheim Avenue in Mapperley at 5.55am on Monday July 30 after being assaulted the previous night.

Oliver Brown, 21, of Digby Avenue in Mapperley appeared before Magistrates on Saturday (August 4) charged with manslaughter in connection with the incident.

Brown is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on September 3.
