Woman, 45, dies after being hit by train in Bramcote

A 45-year-old woman has died after being hit by a train in Bramcote on Saturday afternoon.

British Transport Police officers were called to the train line running through Bramcote at 4.53pm on Saturday (November 11) following reports of a person being struck by a train.

Officers attended alongside paramedics, where the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesperson from the British Transport Police said: “The woman’s family has been informed of her death.

“Her death is not being treated as suspicious.

“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
