Woman ‘seriously injured’ in fall near Marco Island building in Nottingham

A woman was seriously hurt after falling onto a flat roof in the area of Marco Island in Nottingham.

Emergency services were called to the incident off Brook Street at around 5.45pm on Monday (October 9).

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said the 36-year-old woman was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre and was ‘seriously injured’ at the time.

They could not immediately give an update on her condition on Tuesday, or say exactly where she had fallen from.

They added: “Notts Police were contacted just before 5.45pm and have attended the scene alongside crews from East Midlands Ambulance Service and Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service.

“The 36-year-old woman involved has been taken to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre for treatment for her injuries.”

Anyone with any information about what happened is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 760 of October 9.

Notts TV understands the incident is being treated as an accident.
