Police say they have now been able to identify a man whose body was found in Gedling Country Park at the weekend.
Officers did not release the name as they are now in the process of contacting family members to inform them of the discovery.
The man’s death was initially treated as ‘unexplained’ but on further investigation detectives confirmed the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
The man was discovered at 9.20am on Saturday morning just metres away from runners on the regular five kilometre Gedling park run.
