Victim named and three arrested following fatal Low Wood Road crash

Three men have been arrested in connection with a fatal road crash on the outskirts of Nottingham which killed a 21-year-old man.

James Horton, from Warsop, died in the collision between a Peugeot 207 and a Subaru on the A6002 Low Wood Road, near Nuthall, at around 7.30pm on Friday, June 17.

Two other people were injured and taken to hospital.

Notts Police say A 37-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Two other men, aged 19 and 21, have also been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.

All have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Officers investigating the crash are still keen to speak to the driver of a DAF lorry with a white cab and a plain dark blue curtain-sided trailer, which was travelling towards the Nuthall Island/M1 and stopped at the scene of the crash.

They also want to speak to the occupants of a dark-coloured Renault Megane which briefly stopped at the crash scene before driving towards Bulwell.

It is believed these people may have important information about what happened.
