Thousands watch ‘I Believe In Miracles’ premiere at Forest

Four thousand fans and players from Nottingham Forest’s 1979 European Cup winning squad were at The City Ground for the world premiere of ‘I Believe in Miracles’.

The film tells the story of the club’s 1979 European Cup victory under the management of Brian Clough and Peter Taylor.

The City Ground was transformed into an open air cinema with the film showed on a 60ft (18m) screen.

The documentary, which features rare footage found in old tins in a house in Lincolnshire, will be shown in local cinemas from October 13.

Before the film was shown, 14 players from the European Cup-winning team were introduced to the crowd.

Tickets for the premiere sold out within a week.
