A man has appeared in court charged with raping a 22-year-old woman in Lenton.
Shapoor Azimi, 36, of Sneinton, is said to have carried out the attack in the early hours of Sunday, October 18, on Heron Drive.
Azimi was arrested on Wednesday and charged on Thursday afternoon with two counts of rape.
He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court this morning, where he was remanded into custody to appear at Crown Court on November 20.
