UPDATE: Man, 37, arrested following knifepoint robberies at two hairdressers

A 37-year-old man has been arrested in connection with knifepoint robberies at two hairdressers in Nottinghamshire.

A masked man escaped with a small amount of cash after walking into Jessica’s Hair Design on Nottingham Road in Stapleford with a knife demanding money.

No-one was hurt in the incident which happened at around 11.05am on Tuesday April 3.

Notts Police also received a report a masked man entered Dena’s Salon on Ewe Lamb Lane on Ewe Lambs Lane in Bramcote Hills at around 5.30pm on Friday (April 7).

He demanded cash from the till and property from staff and customers.

He fled on foot with a quantity of cash and a customer’s mobile phone – no-one was hurt in the incident.

The 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and remains in police custody.
