Legendary Nottingham boxer Carl Froch has posted a social media video of the inside of Nottingham bar Rocket at Saltwater being refurbished days after its closure.

It comes just a week after the bar, inside the Cornerhouse in the city centre, shut on May 30.

Froch posted a video on his Instagram story today (June 7) of the inside of the rooftop bar being refurbished.

Most of the fixtures and fittings can be seen being removed by workmen, along with carpets and some internal walls.

Rocket at Saltwater posted a Tweet on its account confirming the closure last month which said: “We’re sorry to annoince [sic] that as of today Saltwater is closed.”

Before its closure the bar had been on the market since April.

Notts TV has contacted Froch for further details. The ex-super middleweight retired in July 2015 having become a world champion twice and famously knocking out fierce rival George Groves in 2014.

He has since been working as a regular pundit for Sky Sports, become an ambassador for a poker website and has also spoken of several property development projects.
