Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club have signed Australian fast bowler Peter Siddle.
The Aussie has signed a two-year contract with Notts and is eligible to play in their four-day games and their 50 over matches.
The 30-year-old bowler has played 57 test matches, taking 198 wickets at an average of 29.87.
Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket Mick Newell believes Siddle’s experience will be excellent for the young bowlers at the club.
He told the club’s website: “Peter brings high quality quick bowling and is a good fellow who fits in well with the team. He will provide leadership to our young bowling attack.”
Siddle made his test debut back in 2008 and took an Ashes hat-trick in 2010.
This is the Aussie’s second spell at Notts, having played 11 County Championship matches for them in 2014, taking 37 wickets.
