Award-winning Oxjam Festival rocks Beeston

Over 14 hours of live music kicks off in Beeston at noon on Saturday with the Oxjam fastival.

The festival is spread over 15 venues and features over a 100 acts including The Harmonics, I am Jupiter and Isaac Bloomfield.

The long-running, local festival aims to raise £10,000 for Oxfam, last year the Beeston Festival raised over £13,000, the third most in the country.

Matt Turpin, Marketing Coordinator, said,”We hope to beat last years total but whatever we raise it will be an incredible help for some very worthy causes.”

He added that it was a “proper festival” with over 14 hours of live, local music.

Oxjam Facts

Oxjam is an annual music festival held to raise funds for Oxfam.

Oxjam began in 2006 and since then has helped to raise over £2.5 million for charity

Anyone can hold an event, with over 5,000 events held over the last 10 years.

Over a million people have attended an Oxjam event.

All ages are welcome and tickets are available from the Oxjam website with all money going to charity.
