A car was driven into a couple’s garden wall in Clifton, sending bricks crashing into their living room window at 1am.
Gary and Melanie Shannon looked out of their window on Summerwood Lane after hearing loud noises to discover police officers and a car on their lawn.

Melanie said: “We woke up to a loud bang and heard all the commotion, there was a car right up by the door. I was just in a daze and confused.”
Gary said: “The window at the front of the house was smashed right through, with bricks flying all the way from the garden wall to the glass of the window.
“It is where our dog Marley normally sleeps so we were so glad he didn’t get hurt.”
Nottinghamshire police have confirmed that two men have been arrested in connection with the incident.
The Shannon’s are looking to repair their wall but say their house insurance ran out a few months ago.
Gary said: “I found out this morning my house insurance had timed out a few months ago.
“It is just one of those things, we were going to re-tile the bathroom next, but I think we have a bigger priority now.”
