A former care home director is facing sentencing today after admitting manslaughter by gross negligence following the death of an 86-year-old resident.

Ivy Atkin died in November 2012 after being moved from the former Autumn Grange Care Home in Herbert Road, Sherwood Rise.

Yousaf Khan, 46, of Nelson Road, Bulwell, will return to Nottingham Crown Court today after admitting the charge in December.

He has also admitted a health and safety offence in his role as a director of Sherwood Rise Ltd.

The building is no longer a care home and has been converted into flats.
