Nottinghamshire Police are trying to contact a man who chased off a robber as he attempted to steal a woman’s handbag in Mansfield (Monday, January 27).
The incident took place on Church Street, outside Lloyds Bank, when a woman in her 40s was approached from behind by a man who tried to take her bag.
A member of the public got involved and the would be robber made a run for it.
The suspected robber is described as white, 6ft tall, of broad build and with blond hair. He was wearing a navy, woolly coat and blue jeans.
Police say there were other people present at the time who may have seen what happened.
