Heartbroken sister pays tribute to ‘incredible’ teenager killed in moped crash

Video: Lewis ran the YouTube gaming channel Blaze Graphics, and friends and family are now asking people to make this video his most-viewed.

The sister of Lewis Crouch says “no words” can describe the loss of the teenager in a road crash on Friday.

The sixteen year-old was killed in the collision between a car and a moped on Peafield Lane, Mansfield Woodhouse, at around 10.10pm.

A remembrance group set up on Facebook already has more than 200 members and hundreds of people have posted tributes to him.

Flowers have been left on Peafield Lane and friends and family have organised a memorial get together at The Black Bull Pub in Blidworth, near Mansfield on Wednesday at 6.30pm.

Speaking to Notts TV News Lewis’ sister Charlotte, said on Monday: “There are no words to describe the pain we are going through but the tributes help massively.

“Lewis was such an incredible brother, son, grandson, and friend.

“All he wanted to do was make people smile and we are so heartbroken now he’s gone.

Friends attending the get together at The Black Bull Pub are being encouraged to write in a remembrance book and bring any photos to stick into it.

Adam Middleton wrote on Facebook: “Lewis was not only a friend to me but a brother to me.

“From the first day I met you at Garibaldi I knew we were going to be friends for a very long time into the future.

“The good memories we had making YouTube videos is something which will stick with me forever.

“Despite the hate we got we didn’t care we carried on because it’s what we loved to do.

“From biking to playing Xbox we would always do it together. Our friendship began in 2011 and it will carry on forever.”

Chloe Lye wrote on Facebook: “There are just no words to describe how cruel this world is.

“You’ve impacted so many people’s lives for the better Lew.

“I’ll never forget the time you tried teaching me to drive in a stationary car or when you’d pull over at the side of the road just to talk about anything and everything.

“That ped of yours took you on so many different adventures.

“You loved every second of it! Well it was either that, or staying in playing video games hahah.

“I’d see you riding around everywhere and I’m sure you’ll be riding all the clouds up there angel.”

Chloe Jordan also wrote on the Facebook remembrance page, she said: “Rip Lewis you were such a star and I can’t believe you have gone all my love goes out to his family.

“God has gained another angel gone to early but never forgotten rip Lewis xx.”

Charlotte added: “People keep asking what they can do, and there is one thing.

“Lewis loved making YouTube videos, and we think it would be amazing for him if one of his videos got thousands of views.

“His YouTube channel is Blaze Graphics.”

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the collision to contact them on 101 quoting incident number 930 of February, 3 2017.
