Highfields Park travellers move on after council notice

The mobile homes pitched on the park in Lenton moved on after warning notices from Nottingham City Council.

The travellers set up camp on Highfields Park on June 22 but were issued with a notice by authorities to move on within 24 hours.

It was confirmed that the group left the park on the June 25.

A group of travellers believed to be separate to those on Highfields Park are still set up on Hempshill Park.

The council had warned the travellers that if they did not leave overnight their legal team would start compiling paperwork to pursue the matter through the courts.
