A Bestwood man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of 40-year-old Thomas Burns.
Mr Burns died after an assault in Pleasant Row, near Asda in Hyson Green, at around 6am on Sunday, July 9.
Mr Burns suffered a serious head injury and died at the Queen’s Medical Centre.
Mark Purdy, 39, of Coxmoor Court, Bestwood, has been charged with manslaughter and affray and will appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court this morning (July 13).
A 24-year-old was also arrested in connection with Mr Burns’ death but has been released.
