Nottingham third most affordable city for students

University of Nottingham think they have made a breakthrough in treating malaria

Nottingham has been named as the third most affordable city for students to live and work in.

The Student Living Index 2015 survey by Natwest, asked approximatly 2,500 students to get an idea of what they spent their money on.

The survey focused on four main areas: everyday essentials, socialising, sports and fitness, and hobbies and interests.

Results found that Nottingham ranked third in the UK table, coming in behind Belfast and Southampton respectively.

The city has the cheapest weekly phone bill, averaging at £4.83 per week. It also comes in third for spending the most on football at £5.93 evry week behind York and Liverpool.
