Pedestrian hit by lorry on Colwick Loop Road has died

A man has died after being hit by a lorry on the A612 Daleside Road early this morning.

The road is still closed off in both directions between Racecourse Road Island and Vale Road.

The accident happened close to the Starting Gate Pub at around 6.30am. Drivers are being diverted and are advised to avoid the area completely if possible.

Police are yet to release the identity of the man who died.

Anyone who saw what happened is being asked to contact Notts Police on 101 giving incident number 102 of February 12.
